That was equal parts paranoia about the primary mirror falling on the corrector, paranoia about breaking the corrector if I was clumsy setting my scope down, etc. There are also those who worry about the grease on the baffle tube dripping onto their corrector. The inspire mount does not have much room to adjust the balance of the scope. You can simulate this setup by adding a 2 - 2.5 lb bag of pennies or rocks to the back of the scope.
